If they put the engine from the NX200 in there, or at least something fun, I would love it. Now, please Toyota, don't screw this up.

I really secretly kinda want a lowered Corolla S with the NX200t's engine and a 6-speed manual.

Should be a Toyota.

i've always wondered why others offer hatches like Ford, Mazda, and Subaru offer hatches but Toyota doesn;t

The Matrix was on sale here until 2013, so they did.

LOL, agreed. Toyotas styling can be alright. There was a new Scion TC behind me the other day and I though 'wow that is an extremely aggressive looking car' and with the duckbill spoiler some have I would totally drive one. But I don't think the drive would be as engaging.

I think it looks great!! Give me a 2.0T in that baby, id hit it.

Eh, Scion is relatively new, and isn't quite as tainted as Toyota's car building image. If it's badged a Toyota, people will pass it off as what it probably is, a Corolla. Which isn't really fair, because variants of the Corolla can be fun.

Toyotas as of late are apparently pretty numb from a feedback standpoint, though I read the new Camry gives more feedback than the old one.

I guess my argument is that Toyota NEEDS a car that can be a corolla and shake off the corolla image right now. Scion has no business existing in my opinion.

I just want an early 2000's Corolla XRS with a manual. Dat redline.

Not sure I know what that is supposed to be. Looks pretty good to me though. Give it awd and a decent engine and Toyota would have a decent poor-man's WRX

If Toyota had not have dug themselves the beige hole, I would agree on the Scion part, but Scion has a saving grace currently on sale for enthusiasts. Toyota just makes good SUV's and trucks now.

Or at least one of their high revving NA I4's they were known for up until the last few years.

i thought they stopped that a lot longer ago

It's the Scion iM concept.

Nope, they just stopped advertising a long time ago.

Exactly the reason this needs to be a Toyota, Toyota needs the shot in the arm, scion is just a...what? Scion is Toyota's Saturn: well meaning but orphaned for too long and now irrelevant.

The engine from the Corolla XRS would do nicely. Unless this thing weighs over 3000 lb. Itd be overmatched at that point. In a perfect world ill take it with a 2.4 Inline 6 making 230 hp 185lb ft torque. Lawlz.
